  4. This week we will review Lucretius I starting at line 159.
    1. The argument in support of “nothing comes from nothing.”
    2. Deductive reasoning vs inductive reasoning
      1. Inductive - from specific observation to general conclusion
      2. Deductive -from general conclusion to new conclusion. Geometry (based on axioms)
    3. Is this new? No. The distinction is what evidence is used and accepted. Can you start with axioms?
    4. Proper vs improper use of axioms.
    5. Next week we will return to Dave’s question on SEEDS and seeds of thoughts and attitudes and change.
